Actually, the article says "man who appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent" so there's a strong likelihood he's not Middle Eastern. Most mainstream Americans aren't even sure what "Middle Eastern" is.

If it isn't an American's concern what "Middle Eastern" even is then they shouldn't be trying to report men who they think are "Middle Eastern" and just leaving it to authorities. Judging from past incidents, the man probably wasn't even Middle Eastern. More importantly, how can you be concerned about your safety and not even be educated?
