It isn't tho. Race isn't something you can choose. It's an identity automatically assigned to you're existence. Muslim is no more or less of a people group than vegan, feminists, nazis and so on. These are ideals that you get to choose. So discriminating against someone with a set of ideals you do not believe is not the same as racial discrimination. You have no choice in your race.

I agree with you but I also must add that some people view muslims as a stereotypical image. Meaning, even if you're not muslim you may still be viewed as one if you LOOK like one in their eyes.

Islam is a faith, not a race. When I offend Islam (I do that often, as an Ex-Muslim), I try to do it without discriminating people of that people. It doesn't make anyone racist or bad for criticizing someone's faith or ideology. Blasphemy=\=race. But discrimination=discrimination.
