Iron Man is the biggest hero of the Avengers and lets face it, Iron Man made Marvel a power in the Industry... Iron Man = RDJ, he brought the crowd to the cinemas, he is still doing that and he will be doing that! When your faves earn that much (or even more) you just can stop praising em, but you get disgusted by him
He didn't make anything and you sound silly even thinking so. Any of the Avengers could've come first and had his place it's just simply the fact that his movie came first (in the MCU continuity that set up the Avengers) and kicked off the universe.

Clearly not. The numbers don't lie, none of the Phase 1 movies made as much as Iron Man. Had CA or Thor come first there would be no MCU.
Marvel owes the entire existence of the MCU to RDJ, and whether or not you agree, clearly they're aware of this because it's reflected in his pay cheque.
For anybody saying that $40,000,000 is too much for one person to make, where do you think 1 billion dollars would go otherwise? That money isn't going to the theatres that play the movies. It's going to the studios and the executive producers who put up the money for it to be made.
Actors don't get paid based on talent. They get paid based on their earning potential and what kind of movie they're starring in. Robert Downey Jr isn't going to make 40 million doing a romantic comedy that could only hope to gross maybe 80 million worldwide (or more realistically 30).
Regardless of what they're making now, the continued success of these movies only serves to raise each actor's profile thus giving them more bargaining power later down the line.
yeah i'm not bothered about knowing whether he does or not, i just think $40 million dollars for one movie is an OBSCENE amount of money and more than one person could ever spend in a lifetime
