Unbreakable is the only truly good album here imo. It was a step up for Janet aesthetically and creatively after all the wack albums shed released over the past decade. She popped right into contemporary R&B without sounding dated or cringeworthy and still harked back to her classic 90s sound. For her, this album was on point imo. unfortunately our generation doesnt revere janet like they should, so the album despite going #1 has been ultimately ignored.
Kiss Me Once was just kind of whatever. I really like Feels So Close and maybe one or two other tracks. But I dont think ive ever liked an entire Kylie record in full anyway, but it just felt like this one was a little lacking in creativity by comparison. But it wasnt bad. a little more on the generic side for her imo
Rebel Heart production wise was pretty clean and obviously as an album was a significant step up from MDNA. But overall the irreverent songs were cringeworthy (S.E.X., Bitch Im Madonna, etc) and everything else was a lackluster bore. Have to say I enjoyed Living for Love but not significantly so and Hold Tight was an acceptable mid tempo but sounds like it couldve been by anyone from onerepublic to katy perry. so its like eh. not a trainwreck album but not worthy of madonna in the slightest.
mariah's was just wack. not a whole lot to say about it tbh. worst of the bunch and the least inspired by far.

Disagree with this completely. Me ... is probably one of the first pre-divorce albums I've ever heard; every song - even the 'upbeat' ones - is pretty clearly about a relationship that's dying. There's anger (Thirsty), confusion (Cry), abandonment (Camouflage), passive-aggression (Money ...) and even nostalgia, hoping to get back better times. (Dedicated). Probably her most complex album, and the best 'pop/R&B' release of 2014.

Yes
Idk what people see in these other albums if they can't see any of the songs for what they're worth in MIAM. The bias is real
Also Money is definitely getting at least a 10 from me

Exactly! It is such a deep and mature album. It just feels like the work of somebody that has lived and used their experiences to make something great.

Honestly, I feel that you can tell that 3 of these women put their heart and soul into making these albums and the result isn't always perfect but the passion behind it is really lovely.
Poor Kylie.

Just a question. Why isn't Skirt included in this rate?

Well, technically, it wasn't on the album. Also, we don't want Kylie to have a song in top 10!

Want to do this to stan for MIAM but don't really have an interest in the others.

How would a demo reach the Top 10?

Mariah's probably the artist I stan for the least out of this bunch, but even I can admit MIAM is a fantastic album. Her best album since Butterfly and possibly my favorite of hers overall. Unbreakable is probably the only one I would rank above it and when it comes to the standard editions they are pretty close.

I debated including it (especially because I love it so much), but I decided not to since it's not really apart of KMO.

Giving an album all 1s is trolling, right?

well - real talk - but Kylie has never been the type of "artist" the other have been, has she? 94-99 was sort of a blip on the road of her career.
Also, Kiss Me Once is an album of almost thirds - a third unlistenable and far too young for her, a third so retrograde and also so junior, and a third that ... actually spins her out in new directions, but feels right. If Only/Golden Boy/Kiss Me Once/Sleeping With The Enemy/Fine are better than almost anything on the two albums prior to KMO. Shame about the rest of it.
