Why do you feel like he needs to do something noteworthy? One of his main reasons for leaving was so he could relax and take some time to get back into a better state of mind. Maybe he didn't want to do anything noteworthy. The whole point was to not feel pressured to fulfill everyone's unrealistically high expectations like he had to every day in 1D. I'm sure he'll come back and do something noteworthy when he's ready.

Yeah and it shows that he took it for granted. It shows that he felt entitled to more. The rest of the band gave in five years of their lives too and you don't see them complaining. Instead they are very thankful.
Let's be real here. Zayn wanted more and now he has less. I wouldn't be surprised if he regretted his decision especially now that we know that he was quick on making the decision to leave.
