What I mean is that, were you so excited to turn that age and finally be free to have fun, drink, party, sex? Were they one of the things you've always wanted to do?

no u can't do those things if you have my parents

No, I was too busy being nice at that time (exams etc) that I forgot how to really enjoy life

I got severely depressed. Realising you're legally an adult is scary af. I got over & accepted it tho. You realise nothing has really changed.

I did that stuff before 18 except sex

Party = Clubbing. You can't go clubbing if you're not 18 yet.

The other stuff you can do before 18 although some prefer to wait till they're adults

It isn't rebellious if you know you're legally allowed to do all those things Rebellion would be doing all that stuff before turning 18.

But to answer your question, no, my turning 18 (and again at 21) felt like such a non-event.

Age is just a number, you start to feel liberated when you reach a certain stage in your life. Too much is made about being a virgin also, you feel no different whatsoever after having sex at least, as a gay male.

I found it was when I moved to Uni, I started to discover myself, image overhaul, increased independence etc.

No, it was a day like any other except that I was about to get my driving license.

How can you be a rebellious adult? At that point you're in charge and responsible for everything you do. You're a rebellious teenager or child but if you're rebelling as an adult, you're immature
