Okay, not gonna lie, the hypocrisy and double standards in this thread are REALLY pissing me off.
Whenever there's a school shooting in the U.S., left politicians (and, hell, most of ATRL) instantly skip past the "OMG it's so sad people died!" stuff right into "GUN CONTROL!" "BAN GUNS!" "GET RID OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT!" with absolutely no respect for the dead, and pretty much no one flips out. Trump is doing the opposite, saying that, if there was less strict gun control, these people could have fought back and less people could have died.
Not going to argue if he and ATRL are right or wrong to do this, not saying he's right (or that he's wrong), but the double standard here is legitimately ludicrous because the people I see flipping sh** do the exact same thing when the tables are flipped. Behavior isn't acceptable when you and people you agree with do it, but becomes unacceptable when people you DISAGREE with do it. It's the same actions, just spreading different messages. So either you're all in the wrong or neither are in the wrong
I'd lean towards all in the wrong, if you want my opinion, but you're welcome to make a case for how both you and Trump are justified to try to use a tragedy to make a political point rather than caring about the actual tragedy
