When I first heard the story, they said that their room was messed up with furniture thrown everywhere. People initially assumed that the couple was fighting before he jumped off.
They were both intoxicated also. Serving crime story realness

This. I don't mean to be insensitive, and it's heartbreaking to know that this guy died, but something about this story just doesn't add up.
In the first video you can hear the security talking about their trashed room. Then there's the whole "blackout" part of the video, which according to the lawyer was purposefully blacked out due to the family's wishes. But by his own description, that's the
only part of the video where we actually hear the man himself speaking and supposedly explaining what happened. I just feel like it's a little too convenient that that happened to be the part they cut out.
Then in multiple videos you see the crew reaching over the edge holding onto him and trying to pull him back on board, so they clearly did not "push" him off the edge like his husband reported. Then we have the reports of domestic disputes between the two of them as well as the gay slur reports.
Don't get me wrong, I can believe that he was the target of homophobia by the crew and/or guests, but I don't know if I believe everything the husband is reporting as factual. It just doesn't add up, and I really doubt that the cruise line is at fault for his death. Especially if he really was "planning to jump overboard in an 'act of protest'" like the husband and lawyer claim.

I believe alcohol probably played a much larger part in this story than anyone is willing to admit. Still, I hope the truth will come to light and his family/friends can find peace. Those videos are hard to watch.
