Okay the subject matter big deal. This is music. And I honestly don't hear anything but a solemn banshee so....subject matter not conveying. How many times have people come up in this base and sang some The Wind lyrics? ZERO. And what are the lyrics anyways? Who cares, it's The Wind.
Looks like I'm the only one

How funny you should mention that song!! It finally grew on me literally this past Monday!
I listened to it and imagined it like this: So Mariah is in a musical, and the main plot is about how she and her wannabe lover are star-crossed lovers. Well, she finally gets up the courage to confess her love, but on her way to tell him how she feels, he is shot and killed. MC finds his body in the street and starts crying/wailing. Then the scene fades and transitions into the next scene, which is the lover's funeral. As Mariah walks home from the funeral, she sings "The Wind."
The wind has taken you / You're free finally at peace
So still you lie / Leaving your cares behind
So young to die
How could you let life pass you by?
And now you'll never know I loved you
And now you'll never know I cared
I was blasting the music video version of Obsessed in the car on my way to school, and when the bus hit him I literally JUMPED because I thought I had just gotten in an accident
The Honey remix video is one of Mariah's best moments look-wise.
Also imma fight this hoe if she doesn't re-issue more albums now that she's done the MC album
Honestly, I feel that Charmbracelet is soooooo underated. It may not have been that mainstream, but that's part of the beauty of it. I think of it as an indie album. Her vocals were raw, most of the songs were really good and personal, especially Sunflowers for Alfred Roy, and it actually sold well!!

I actually agree with this. On first listen I was taken aback a bit, but it's grown on me so much. It has several gems
