There's been a plethora of excellent albums released this year - Rebel Heart, FROOT, Art Angels, CollXtion I, and Adventure, to name a few - but what's been consistently sub par are many of the singles that are becoming popular. There's been a few bright spots - Lean On, Where Are U Now, You Know You Like It, Hey Mama, Good For You, and Cool For the Summer, for example - but they're far overshadowed by the average or bad ones - Uptown Funk, See You Again, Cheerleader, Shut Up and Dance, Sugar, Earned It, Thinking Out Loud, etc. This is all in my opinion at least.
