We just need a constant schedule each week, with results, challenge posting, and all that on the same day. Other than that Sam is doing great. If people have things going on or not enough time that's their problem, and that's fine, but the blame can't be put on him or the judges. Just as many big contestants are dropping out as last season, so it's not really much different.

Element hosted a writing competition like a year and a half ago but it's sort of just known as an iconic flop now.

I think the challenges are better than last season definitely. Last season they were all too easy and I don't think they really helped anyone. The added restrictions of these challenges make them actually challenging and I think promote more growth. I can't really speak on the other thing. I try to offer as much advice as possible in my critiques but I'm not really as active as I have been in past seasons so I'm not here as much during the week and during results.

And as the creator of this challenge, I found it to be probably the best one of S6 because it helped certain writers like Sam step outside the box and discover new styles that stayed with them in following seasons, and helped writers like ausdaniel focus on a theme and imagery and elevate his style to a way that blew the judges away.

I liked last season but I've enjoyed this season more than last time, mainly because I feel like I'm a better writer than last season. Still not great but I've improved imo. I've enjoyed the challenges. They're difficult but it's not exactly supposed to be easy.

There's not a thing Sam'e doing that I would do differently and he's hosting much better than I could.
I agree; I think limitations and restrictions help you learn and grow. Necessity is the mother of invention. If the challenges challenge you, they're doing their job. The only way to help is by extending the deadlines, and I recal you (pears) being in favor of short deadlines earlier in the game.

melody is pretty close. not really enemy. have you tried using rhyming dictionaries like rhymezone and rhymer? rhymezone even gives you slant rhymes (or "near rhymes").

or try putting the word in the middle of the line so you don't have to worry about that

Edit it so that it does. Conveying the concept is just as important as using the key word well.
