What are you even saying? You're hatred for your own country is comical(if you even are American) considering you completely fabricated that statement. Go do some research into this conflict. The United States is always blamed whether they get involved or lack there of. The Arab spring of 2011 had nothing to do with America intially and the US's intervention in Syria was solely a result of the horrid policies of Assad's regime. What was America supposed to do? Not help these rebels whom were being attacked with CHEMICAL WEAPONS. Obviously America should have either stayed out completely or gone into a full on coalition but really don't place blame where it doesn't lie. If the US had not involved itself at all people like you would be condemning them for not helping. Ridiculous. And its a good thing America has some presence and intel considering ISIS has infiltrated Syria and continues to be a serious threat to national security.

Thus we don't need to take them in. We need to remove these disgusting leaders so these people can live in their HOMELAND in peace and rebuild a nation. Nothing is getting done just by harboring all these people. It just puts strain on the American and European nations economies and fails to resolve the conflict.

Charleston is definitely way more progressive than anywhere else in SC than I'm aware of. There aren't any "true" South Carolinians here as far as I know. I just moved here.

On one hand, they are racist trash. On the other, refugees would be better off in other areas no doubt!

I'm not going to research the size of this county but if it's small, they're right to not want outsiders. A large city like New York, Chicago, LA wouldn't notice the influx as much as a typical county. I live in one of the biggest counties in the state and we only number 550,000.

A lot of more rural/sparse suburban places have a very mellow way of life. They take pride in their communities and actually work to keep it decent. Now, I'm not saying that refugees would bring disaster but they would bring in a host of unknowables. It's not a commitment that should be taken lightly. You don't just invite people in, they need somewhere to live and a source of income. Are they getting money from the government (which could dent our system) or are they expected to get jobs (in a fairly bad job market with people already trying to find work)?

Winter is approaching so it's not like there will be farm work in a lot of states. I suppose they could earn money shoveling snow, which is always helpful and something Americans tend to pay others for
