It's kinda stupid because it's more a name change than quitting being yourself. It's like when a band changes its name; no one would say they quit. Oh well... Honestly they could've just used that spot for a more deserving quitting, like Peter Gabriel quitting Genesis.

You know I thought that's what they were getting at, but it doesn't fit. If anything Prince is one of the most resilient musicians out there.

David from Korn would be one of music's biggest quitters, because he quit playing music altogether.

That one guy from Daughtry, Jeremy Brady. He jumped that ship wayyyy toooo sooon.

Perhaps they're also alluding to the fact that he's been very reluctant to share music with his fans since he is a major anti-piracy advocate. Plus people are still pissed he was bundling his albums with tickets for his shows and selling out to Target. He's less about the music now and more about the cold hard cash.
