ATRL tends to gang up on certain artists in a swarm and then continue to stan for crap artists who havent an ounce of credibility. Which imo renders all of your opinions void.

at least the artists that ATRL are transparent and don't consider themselves to be invariably superior. They make music for the masses and aren't ashamed of that

Generally speaking, a lot of Imagine Dragons fans are in existence because of their radio hits. A counterexample would be myself when I first got into them when I heard their EP before It's Time and Radioactive were on the radio. I just feel that people do way too much on Halsey when she's harmless and kinda fascinating too. Her whole interview was a good read because it's nice to see things in other people's viewpoints

She says that the mainstream media are irrelevant, and then says she has interviews in an hour with BBC Radio 1 and Capital FM! These two radio stations are the very definition of mainstream UK radio

OK, Halsey. Try and be a bit consistent. You cannot say mainstream media are irrelevant and then talk about how MTV are helping promote you in the same interview. Then again she does acknowledge she is still trying to work out what her goals are with her music career, in terms of what she would regard as indicators of success.

She also sounds a bit ungrateful to Imagine Dragons. They were giving her an opportunity to grow her fanbase by opening on their tour, and she basically insults their fans. The onus was on her to win them over and impress them with her songs/performance. If she failed to do that to a significant degree then the fault is with her and not the fans.

I know that she is still very new to the music industry but she will have to learn quickly that things she say will now be reported, analysed, dissected and misinterpreted. Lorde intially went from someone who no-one cared about what she said, to the media jumping all over it. She then realised that she needed to be more circumspect about her public opinions. Halsey will have to get there too.

i agree. they deserved someone better and more interesting than her, too, so she should consider herself lucky she even got that much exposure. i wonder if it was them or their management who wanted her
