The FBI would never target an Indian in real life (unless he's a Muslim). South Asians are the popular American public perception of a "terrorist," but not the reality. I guess that was show's point though.
By the way, the original script had Alex Parrish as a mainstream American with a white or black actress in mind. They changed the script because the show's creator and producers were impressed by Priyanka's audition and changed the story around.
Tonight is the real test, the fall in ratings from last week can be explained by NFL/World Series competition.
