I had the concept of someone being a thunderstorm and lighting up the darkness in which someones hides - a cheater most probably - but I felt that it was too close thematically to Brand New Eyes so I'm reevaluating.
Question: The song doesn't have to center around the word, just the concept right? Like, if I use the word in the song but don't go deep into its meaning will I get penalized for that?
I'm pretty sure conatus revealed that he has yet to put much effort into any of his songs!

You have to use the word in a way that makes sense in the song. You do not have to base your song around the word, and you don't have to force the word's meaning down our throats.

I'm not sure if I really have a prominent influence. I can't really see anyone else writing or singing the things that I do. And I certainly don't think I've written anything of Taylor or Madonna's standard.
