they sell your information. thats why they ''force'' you to give legit information and people who have phantasy names have to change their names, for example.
Facebook is like the Adele of social media, the adults (21+) use it frequently and reaches all demographics, even if teenagers might stan for Instagram (Taylor Swift) or Twitter (Katy Perry) instead.

After 6 years I'm still so glad to be able to use Fb as my main social networking site. Nothing comes close to its convenience and interface. People who only use instagram, snapchat, etc. <<< I don't want to have to post pictures of myself to be able to talk to people! And still very limited communication at that. And Twitter doesn't even compare no one I know uses regularly, how are you supposed to talk to friends with it?
i deactivated mine. fake accounts, scammers, illegal recruiters, criminals, smelly fishy companies are all over facebook. facebook's privacy issues get scarier and scarier.
