Rihanna is a singer, not an artist. She has no artistic input and is not involved in the making of her music, she just tells those camps of writers and producers she works with to produce songs based on what is hot at the moment.
She has 0 artistic growth.
K so if she isn't an artist why mention her? How backwards
nnnnnnn at yall saying Rih when her first two albums are very island-ish/carribean influenced, GGGB is very rnb/pop, Rated R is a dark w/ rock and latin sounds, Loud was had euro pop influence, TTT was pop,RNB, techno and UNA had trap sounds.
Rihanna didn't truly have an identity to call her own until GGGB (the reason for the image overhaul was because she needed to break free from the Beyoncé comparisons). She was bankrupt during Rated R (so she had to change her image again). Her brand has been the same since Loud: hot pop star with fun songs, cute hairstyles and nice clothes. She's been playing the 'bad girl' role for over half a decade now. She has not evolved as an artist. Changing to fit the times and following trends =/= evolution.
