There are so many young girls with great voices who could do a Patti LaBelle song and just kill it. Even Demi Lovato! She’s my new crush. That little girl can sing like I never thought she could. She could sing a Patti LaBelle song. And Fantasia. That’s my daughter! She kills my songs. Oh yes, honey."

I don't get why the OP put it out of contest, make it sounds shady...

It's not shade. How she said it was just odd. She called Demi her crush. She wouldn't have said that if she was shading her

and it clearly isn't shade

Patti is the most supportive grandma in the industry

Patti LaBelle has a horrible voice, so she can keep it. The fact that four girls made toast out of the biggest track of her career over a decade ago shows that she ain't nothing.
