Yep as I said recently you can reinvent yourself but minimally in your first three eras.
Era 4 is where you take risks
3 solid eras solidifies you as an icon.

gaga took a big risk era 3 and well...
xtina took a big risk era 2 and alienated her audience every single era.
Nicki minaj took a big risk era 2 alienated her core and then after kicking and screaming alienated the pop base to appease urban and all she got was more urban radio play but became overpromoted and underperformed.
Once adele slays with 25 if she wanted to take a risk for '29' then she could and if it flopped/underperformed she has a chance to get it back right.
Katy can now take a risk with era 4 since she solidified herself with the prism era
era 1 proves that you are liked
era 2 proves that you have star power
era 3 proves that you have a built in fanbase and from here on out its your game to lose. You make huge mistakes it will show but if you make minor mistakes all can be forgiven the next era.
