Am I the only one who thinks the new REALiTi sounds more like a demo than the original? I mean I love the new version but the general production sounds very demo-like, I can't really describe it.

how could it possibly sound more demo-ish when there are so many more layers and vocal nuances and production intricacies than what the actual demo version contains that just doesn't make any sense
I think the comments on it just having a bit too much in it is 100% true. I liked how kinda... whimsical the original/demo was. The new version is so messy to me.
lowkey the part that bothers me the most is "welcome to reali-TIIIIII~" that she adds.

I know there are more layers. I mean for one some of the sounds just sound cheap, secondly the different layers are quite prominent and you can hear sounds that you'd expect to be a little less obvious, especially in the final chorus, like they should be more blended. The demo sounds generally more polished than the final. I know it's just a matter of production style but it's the way I hear it
is this a good album for people who want to get into Grimes?
or should I listen something else first?
Yes. This is a very accessible record for getting into Grimes, but her earlier work is quite different in terms of actual sounds. I'd recommend Art Angels > Visions > Halfaxa, and maybe Geidi Primes if you really like her!
I still think Flesh Without Blood is one of the worst on the album. The melody is nice but that god awful instrumental annoys me to no end
Kill V Maim is absolutely insane, what a ****ing bop
Love the new Realiti
I think I'm going to listen to the album again before I make a final decision on how I feel about it but I enjoyed it and I'm still gonna buy it on vinyl regardless
