I own a pair of beats and honestly its a stylish piece of mess. With earbuds/phones I hear the faint background vocals and the beat. With beats I have to struggle to hear faint bg vocals. They are comfortable though

Beats is so overpriced. If you go in for a pair that functions as both audio devices and fashion accessories, then yeah, go for it. If it's strictly for listening, then don't ever.
