"Hey hey hey the end is near" is an odd way to open disc two of Have One On Me, epecially with more than an hour left to go, what a troll. At less than two minutes, "On a Good Day" is uncharacteristically short for Joanna. Despite it's length, it still manages to leave quite an impression due to Joanna's great storytelling.
The song was covered by Fleet Foxes frontman Robin Pecknold and it sounds like every other Fleet Foxes song.
Best bit: The whole song <3 Best lyrics: "On a good day you can see the end from here"
"Tell 'em" was released as the lead single from Treats as well as being the album opener. It received lots of buzz and acclaim, naturally, because nothing else sounded like it in a pre-Confident world. The song functions as some sort of motivational chant (or a parody of one, at least) as the listener is repeatedly asked "did you do your best today?" over snaps and claps and a formidable guitar riff.
Best bit: Having to turn your volume down a bit for the intro. Best lyrics: "You could do your best today"
Unknown Brother: am okay with this elimination byeeeeee
Blame Game: very pretty song but a bit long, am okay with this one even though he was worse
