I think it would be too obvious if she gets hurt now.
in a way she secured herself by exposing them on such a big scale.
if she was just tweeting hints or making videos talking about it then they could of easily "silenced" her.
but because she went on big tv shows and spoke her truth then she is sort of safe.
She'll be fine. Those people are crazy but they don't hold the kind of power they once did. Nothing she says will stop lost people from throwing money at them. They're probably reveling in the exposure.
If Leah were a "normal" $cientologist, I'd be concerned for her safety — we've all read about the church's attempts to harass and defame defectors — but she's too high profile to be in any grave danger. They'll plant stories attacking her character, but thanks to her whistleblowing, people are expecting some sort of retaliation, so the church's fabrications won't be difficult to identify.
It's ordinary folks who stand to lose the most by speaking out against $cientology. But I don't mean to downplay Leah's courage. What she's doing matters greatly. We need recognizable names to come forward, and what's particularly great about Leah's decision to leave the church is that, not only is she a name, but she's a lifelong Scientologist, not just some wannabe starlet who dabbled in L. Ron's teachings because she thought it would her "in". Her connection to the church is deep and authentic. That she's willing to divorce herself of something that's played an integral role in her life says a lot.
They couldn't do anything to her because she is a celebrity and people are aware of her connection to the church. if anything happened to her everyone's first thought would be that the church had something to do with it, they could never get away with harming her
I'm sure she made sure to be completely protected tho. It's not like they can kill her or something without looking completely sus, so at least she probably won't die.
