Student Finance texted me saying "Your money has been sent to your bank and will arrive within 3 working days", so surely if i go onto Santander's online banking and look at Pending payments and transfers it should be there waiting to be approved right? when i check there's nothing there

Don't know nothing about your bank but either you gave them an incorrect bank account or it'll be another day before it's added to your account's record.
