There's an interesting case in the Northern Irish Assembly that keeps blocking marriage. The Catholic Church wrote a letter to all MPs to reject the bill, but the Catholic MPs didn't listen and voted Yes while the Protestant ones agreed with the Church and quoted them in why they are voting No
