I would call legalizing gay marriage and weed in a year massive steps. But i get what youre saying.

This is wrong. This was just a trial to see if the 4 people that made the suit would be able to produce marijuana for their own use.
Marijuana is still illegal for everybody else (aside of those 4 persons).

And this isn't paving the way to legalize marijuana in the entire country. Even though it seems that in medicine and research fields it is going to be legal.
