"Gliniewicz committed the ultimate betrayal to the citizens he served and the entire law enforcement community," Lake County Major Crimes Task Force leader George Filenko said told reporters at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center. "The facts of his actions proved he behaved for years in a manner completely contrary to the image he portrayed."
Thousands attended the funeral of the Fox Lake police officer and many used his death to slander the Black Lives Matter movement against police brutality, arguing that criticisms of police violence against civilians increases hatred and violence against the officers.
This is so absurd to me. As if committing crimes while in office wasn't enough, he causes more unneeded trouble by staging his own suicide as a homicide. Like.. What's the point of that? It's extremely selfish.
Very sad, nevertheless. RIP.
Update: So now, it turns out that all of this time since he committed suicide, simply because of the three individuals in which he said he was chasing, ONE was black, the other two were white.
So conservatives started blaming it on black lives matter, even saying it at Gliniewicz 's wake.
