Most of you wouldnt call movie Geisha "appropriating culture", because it was played by Asians. Why the hell it should matter they were almost all Chinese? You scream at Gwen or Nicki for playing with Harajuku fashion, even though a large part of it is based on western fashion, most notably Lolita fashion based on Victorian era in England. You dont mind when a black person is dressed as an Egyptian even when he is from Australia and even if he was from Africa, its hardly his culture. Yet you freak out when a white person is dressed as a Kleopatra, even though Kleopara was Greek. I bet you would scream at all Ptolemies "culture appropriation", just as the SJWs who were screaming at white girls for wearing hijab at a photo, even though the photo was taken in Iran where its law and one of the two girls was muslim living there for several years.

Cultural appropriation which stems from ignorance, but also the people who often ignorantly call others out for it are ridiculous. We should learn about other cultures and treat their traditions with respect. We shouldnt feel bad when we truly admire the culture for wearing something based on their traditions and craft like amulets, scarfs, dresses etc. when we understand their significance. We live in an age of globalization anyway, cultures melt and people are affected, influenced and fascinated by various aspects from other cultures from food, fashion (including haute cuture) to religion. We should all learn to be more open minded about it.
