He deserves it because his music is better. Everyone knows that lol. Justin's worked for 3 years on this album and all the singles so far have been successful and well received, whereas everyone knows 1D has shown literally no growth whatsoever between 5 albums and, as you said yourself, they're only releasing this one to get out of their contract.

Oh and idk who told any of you that Adele is gonna block them she's releasing the week after at which point she'll obviously stay on top for quite a bit.
