Throughout history, homosexuality existed and even was normalized and brought in mention whether in arts, scriptures. The animal kingdom has lots of species of homosexual and bisexual couples, yet in the human world homosexuality is deemed as a negative thing within certain aspects of the world. What made homosexuality to be so ? What are the elements and things that determined that it's wrong, against the laws, and morals ?
Religiously speaking, there are a few lines in the Bible that many interpreted as God saying it's a no-no.
Then you have the argument some make that since those relationships don't result in offspring then they offer no benefit (heard it said in different ways myself).
On top of that you have some believe it's completely controllable "curable".
To me none of that is true, but it's my observation of statements I've come across.

Its not just religion while thats a big reason also the fact homosexuals and other LGBT people are so sparse and little compared to straight people it leaves us very vulnerable to discrimination just like any other minority
Religion mainly but the fact that homosexuals couples can't repeoduce plays a big role too. Think about people that are not religious but are homophobic.
