Flashing Lights' Top 20 | October 3 | Major Changes!
Comments:
A new month and major changes to this countdown. I am not talking about song movement but about the future of the countdown itself. I've noticed that this countdown takes up way to much space and could be a pain trying to read everything. So, I've decided to get rid of the flashback segment, the archives of #1s and retirements. Now, songs are still eligible to retire and the removal of the archives isn't permanent. Until I find a way to make them take up less space. Also, "Not Quite" is permanently finished. You might also see some changes to the countdown. A couple of new segments will also be introduced and will be permanent.
Promotions:
Please vote in my survivor for Z100's Top 100 Songs of 2008. It is a game that is worth playing and will be worth your time. Instead of voting and saving like you would regularly do, an exciting, fun new concept has been introduced. Your votes are highly, highly appreciated.

Overview:
Jay Sean has become the second British artist to hit #1 on my Top 20 with "Down". The first was Leona Lewis back in 2008 with her songs "Bleeding Love" and "Better In Time". Lil Wayne also gets his third #1. He has the most top 20 entries than any other artist on my countdown. His previous #1s were "Lollipop" and "Got Money".
Britney Spears has been on the countdown for one official year. "Womanizer" debuted at #5 exactly one year ago today. Since then, she has charted with "Womanizer", "Circus", "If U Seek Amy" and "Radar". If she drops out next week, she'll lose her long streak.
Mariah Carey gets her 8th top 20 entry with "I Want To Know What Love Is". She has the most entries for any female artist. Second to Lil Wayne overall for most entries. Her previous entries include "Touch My Body", "I'm That Chick", "Bye Bye", "Migrate", "I'll Be Lovin U Long Time", "I Stay In Love" and "Obsessed".
The Fray get their first top ten with "Never Say Never". It is also their only entry on my countdown to date.
