Outside of the challenge, I still think it was you...watered down you, but you. I don't know if you enjoyed doing this challenge or not, but I do think it was limiting. It was repetitive in parts, which is mostly why I think it was watered down. You usually don't do that type of thing, and I think I would have preferred it if you hadn't.

However, that aside, it did little to affect how I perceived your song because I still think, with what you were given, you did what you could and I liked it.

I'm so glad you liked my song I personally think it does fit Daydream since there are songs about lost love on the album and how Mariah wants her lover to return to her such as: (One Sweet Day & Open Arms) for instance. But, anyways, I'm so glad you enjoyed it

Oh I can totally see that. In general I don't narrate my process throughout the rounds but I did have a slight struggle with this one. I had it sitting for a few days and it was just kind of there, it was nothing I hated or loved or felt proud of. But I will still thinking until the last minute as usual, and I came up with the bridge and outdo which I thought where some of the best parts. It certainly was slightly watered down in parts but that was more of a deliberate thing to go with the premise of the challenge but also to switch it up especially with the more repetitive parts because I haven't used any thus far and felt I had to in order to get some appreciation. I would say this is my least favourite of my three entries because it kind of just feels like not the best representation of my mind, but I do think it's at times valuable to write from this kind of different perspective, not only for my own growth by trying new things but also to hear what the judges have to say about it, eg. Sam quite liked it, whereas you felt this way. I appreciate and like both, because this is all very subjective, and it means I still get to attempt new things and learn from what you have to say; if I knew what I was going to write, and how I was going to write every week, this wouldn't be as exciting or enjoyable (or stressful...). So thanks!
