Just because Katy wasn't trying to be artistic and experiment and create something different to anything else doesn't mean she's not an artist or her music isn't good. Almost everything has already been done. Gaga is the kind of artist that likes to experiement and try different sounds, sometimes she does it good, and sometimes she fails. Katy only wanted to make pop songs and there's nothing to drag about that. If she wants to do something more artistic and less catchy, good for her. Madonna did it with Ray Of Light, Erotica, but her three first albums were just good pop songs.

She needs to learn how to execute an era and market herself. PRISM had the potential and material to be more mature and "darker" as most of you want to call it, it was the single choices and the music videos who turned it into a Teenage Dream kind of era.

Very curious to see what she is cooking for us this time around.
