How much thought do you guys put into you teams? I have several criteria for my teams.
One Pokemon that is not fully evolved (My favorites being Quilava, Purloin, Buizel, shiny Nuzleaf and Glameow)
One Pokemon from each generation
Pokemon of mostly different types and with great type coverage
A good balance between physical and special Pokemon
A (non-Uber) Legendary Pokemon ***not always a requirement
A Pokemon thst Mega Evolves ***not always a requirement
Pokemon that visually compliment one another. (my Shiny Delphox, Mismagius and Ambipom are staples because of their purple & red coloring, my signature colors).

I always pick the grass starter and I keep the mascot legend of the game I'm playing in the team.
And I also only have Pokemon from the region I'm in my team, only gen 3 Pokemon in ORAS, gen 6 Pokemon in XY, gen 4 Pokemon in DPPt etc. but after I completed the game (post game included), I train all the Pokemon I like.
