The first single from the legendary Europop group’s iconic Voulez-Vous album, “Chiquitita” was performed at the Music for UNICEF Concert and half of all royalties for the song went to UNICEF. That still stands to this day in continued support of the ideals of the Year of the Child (1979). The song peaked at 2 in the UK and 29 in the US.

Fun fact: That Year of the Child thing I mentioned? It was dedicated by the current Secretary General at the time, Kurt Waldheim, a noted war criminal. Awkward.

Dedicated to Ronan Thompson, a four-year-old boy who died from neuroblastoma in 2011, this track was arranged by Taylor from what Ronan’s mother, Maya, wrote in the nine months following his diagnosis. Ed Masley of The Arizona Republic said that "'Ronan' may very well be [Swift's] finest hour as an artist” and I may be inclined to agree. Her voice and Maya’s words create a stunningly beautiful track. All proceeds for the song go to various cancer foundations, including the Ronan Thomas Foundation.
