I've decided I'm going to be Gaga for Halloween tomorrow. Going to do the iconic Coke can rollers look in Telephone and make those soda top glasses she wore during the Muppets Special.
Just watched AHS with my friends, they didn't stop praising her, saying she slayed, she was hot, how lucky Finn is to act beside her, the only criticism was of her accent, but that improved.
I hope Gaga makes an announcement one week (two max) before releasing the lead single, hyping a single for more than four weeks doesn't work anymore, see Ariana. And even if she flops with LG5 lead we will have the NO HYPE!!!!!111! excuse it's a win win situation.
Don't know if anyone remembers, but last year I did a messy ass performance of Dance In the Dark and Venus at my university's LGBTQ+ organization's yearly Halloween party. Well, I did it again earlier tonight, and it was far less messy than last year, perhaps because I really just didn't try as hard, at all. Anyways, below is a video, with a detailed explanation below it. Don't judge too hard please. (P.S. It starts off extremely awkward because the host forgot where I was entering from, plus he was just generally salty all night long. )
Tonight’s performance was about duality. It began as a very, very simple idea. Once I found out the theme of the event was Alice In Wonderland (or, Alice in Horrorland as it were), I just knew I had to perform for another year. And so I began to think, what song (that I can actually perform) fits the theme of the event, if only on the very surface? The first song to come to mind was Poker Face, if only because of the reference in the song to playing cards, who are the servants to the Queen of Hearts in the classic book. Then I began to dig a little deeper. In the original books Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, there are two queens who are much too often confused with each other, the Queen of Hearts from the former, and the Red Queen from the latter. (I’m not necessarily complaining about this, but am rather just pointing it out.) Perhaps “confused” is a bit of an underwhelming term, as many people are so unaware of the distinction that they believe each is synonym for the other, that the two different entities are one and the same. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. As a summary, the Queen of Hearts is the stereotypical royal bitch that one usually sees in representations of Alice In Wonderland. She is also the one who is associates with playing cards, and is indeed a representation of the queen of hearts one would find in the average deck of cards. The Red Queen, on the other hand, while also being aware of her royal status, is much more level headed and tactful, but also has an expectation that her wants or needs will be fulfilled. She is actually a chess piece, thus her well known phrase “all the ways about here belong to me,” which is a double entendre, indicating both her status as a royal individual who rules the land and also as an indicator of her position in the game of chess, as she can move any way she chooses as the queen. In terms of fashion for my performance, I dressed the part of both queens. My top is a strong reference to the queen of hearts, with hearts running along the front, the arms, and the back of the cape. The Red Queen can is also referenced, through the color red itself in the top and the chessboard pattern leggings I wore. Thus, I embodied and became what I like to call the “Red Queen of Hearts”, a title I feel perfectly describes this combination of personalities we so often see in the average representation of Alice In Wonderland. Seeing these two very distinctive people and personalities, I began to dissect the meaning of Poker Face and assign new meaning to it. In part, Poker Face is about bisexuality, but for tonight at least, I wanted to make it about bi-personality, the idea that one individual can and most often does contain two or more aspects or sides to their personality, how one person can be an amalgamation of various different personalities, ideas, and thematics, and how a person can showcase but one “Poker Face” to the world, yet have an infinite Wonderland beneath the surface. All of this, meant to be packaged in an accessible, fun pop song. Whether the viewer truly understands any of this deeper meaning I hoped to inject into the piece is irrelevant, as it was also meant as a form of entertainment, which I think I can say it successfully achieved. This is what I make - art pop. Bringing art, in its various forms, into the world of pop. And I love doing it, so, so, so much.
I personally didn't enjoy it, but you're brave as **** for doing that. You put a lot of thought and effort into it and you're doing what you love which I admire.
What could it hurt? There would be messy threads on here, but in general non-stans ignore things like mixtapes. It would be nice to hold us over at least.

A literal ARTPOP tea. But thank you for your honesty and respect.
I don't wish anything about her career was different because it's all led up to this point, and I really, truly believe she is about to deliver her best work so far, and I think it'll be a record we'll listen to in 5, 10, even 20 years and still love. She's abandoned following trends and is focusing on a more timeless sound, look and legacy and that is exactly what she should be doing.
I'm so ready for this. I really hope that's what she's aiming for.
But didn't she say she knows people (as in the gp/consumers) want TF Gaga and that's what she's going to give weeks ago?
No, that's not what she said, sis. She said something to the effect of, she's happy to give people what they want but they have to let her do what she wants as well. I don't remember the exact quote.
Or she said something like, I know what people want but that's not what I want.
