The first verse probably has a couple too many references to songs on 1989 for my liking (“Shake off this bad blood” needs to go), but most of them are done tastefully. The Cher reference in the beginning is really clever because it relates to the theme of the song (turning back the time) and that song was released in that year, so props for that. Overall the song had a good flow and rhythm, it felt like a pop Taylor track and the way she describes her love interest is very Taylor. The general idea of feeling like you’re back in your birth year because you feel like you’ve loved this person all of your love is such a strong and purposeful link to the title, it’s not just randomly thrown in (like “party like it’s 1989” would have been).

Did you also catch the Like A Prayer and Little Mermaid references?
"Shake off this bad blood / baby there's magic in the music" was originally "do you feel the love? / Must be the magic in the music," but that didn't really feel like it fit once the song became a relationship drama.
Glad you like the way I worked in the title / year. It's a bit of a twist on the common "I've loved you my entire life" message, but I thought it felt a bit weird because the particular phrasing would make people think of Fetus-lor being in love with a guy who hadn't even been conceived in '89.
