Discussion: Gays, a question for some of y'all?

So I am wondering why it is that some gays (especially on this site) seem to think that every man on the planet is homosexual? It's kind of annoying tbh.

Literally every male pop star gets branded as gay at one point or another, people talk about seducing straight guys and I've even seen people saying dumb stuff to straight guys like "Well if you haven't tried it, how do you know?" when you damn well know if a straight guy was to turn around to y'all and say "How do you know you don't like vagina if you haven't tried it?" your hot-pants and crop tops would all be in a twist and you'd be screaming "Homophobe! Arrest ha! Imprison ha daddy police officer!"

So what is the deal hunties? Let people live. This makes straight guys a biT wary of gays tbh, it's not cute.

I never go into threads that say 'Zac Efron topless' or 'David Beckham with his sons' or 'Nick Jonas looking yummy' because the comments and some people literally refuse to believe they're straight

Yes, because straight males do not fantasies about lesbians, and straight females do not utter "i wish this one wasn't gay". This is a stereotype that the heteros make to make LGBT community seem "like sexual deviants". Every body with a penis or vagina does this in some form.

Okay but I'm on a predominately gay forum so I thought asking this question was the most appropriate.

Yes, it's true you get straight guys who don't respect lesbians/bisexuals and think all women are up for threesomes etc. that's gross too.

But about straight females saying "I wish this one wasn't gay", that's still acknowledging the fact that they are gay and respecting their sexuality. It's not as if they're saying "Why don't you try and be straight for a while?".

I do respect straight guys and I have a lot of straight friends. Actually they are way better friends than gay guys to me. My favourite persons on the planet are actually straight guys.

They asked me in the past, when I came out, things like "how do you know?" and stuff like that. I don't think it's offensive to ask such things. It's all about being confident in what you are. It's just a question, damn. I really don't see the problem if a gay guy try it with a straight man. Just say no. If you are a grown up person, I don't see the problem, honestly. Besides, sexuality is a very fluid concept, so I don't label person based on their sexuality. So if I really like a guy I don't see the problem in trying. Love is love. Just be polite and do not push it when refused.

While it's not only gays, I've wondered this too. I'd expect gays of all people not to put a label on someone without knowing for sure if that person is gay.

And don't let me get started with those "Omg my gaydar is totes perf!" comments.

Of course it's not all but a lot of the ones on forums

Well i didn't say all gay people were like this, I'm just speaking from quite a few that I've seen on this site, on twitter, irl etc.

Well that's great, that's the way it should be. Yes, but when they were asking you about "How do you know?" it wasn't because they were trying to get into your bed like some gays do with straight guys, I'm sure it was just because they were genuinely curious and maybe didn't know many gay people.

I'm not saying that complementing or flirting with straight guys is an awful thing, I don't think it is. Just like I don't think straight guys being playful with lesbians is an awful thing unless they are being rude and ignorant about it. I'm saying that basically calling every guy gay just because you want to sleep with them - or continually pressuring someone about their sexuality even when they've told you they're not into you - is not right. Like some people need to take a hint.
