No he didn't
There are countless incidents in concerts that are FAR worse, and the artist handles them professionally. Someone posted a video of someone throwing beer at Harry Styles on stage. Taylor Swift, Gaga, and some others have had people storm the stage and try to grab them. You've got to be professional and brush it off and continue with the show, because it's not fair to everyone else to throw a hissy fit.
Is it really that hard for him to get a crew person to wipe the floor? Get security to escort those fans out? Like....come on. Don't cancel it and ruin it for everyone else that showed up, the crew there to run it, etc, because of one tiny annoyance that really isn't a big deal.
