Vilppu's commentary - To Have and Not to Hold is not just another flawless track. I mean, of course it is, the deep electronic production, the lyrics about a distant lover, Madonna's vocals (the adorable humming!) and the fact that it somehow feels like Frozen Part II (at least for me) already make it a solid 10. But then again, with Ray of Light being my first Madge's album, this track has always been important for me. I don't associate with any particular situation but - although it's not really happy - it always helps me when I'm sad. It's a real spiritual journey, a beautiful gift which just keeps on giving.

Reinvention- good in theory, but dull in delivery.

tylerlscwv - Ngl, I always forget about this song when I think about ROL. A really gorgeous song though.

Eeveelution - This one just creeps up on you doesn't it? I used to think it was pretty bland but now it's one of my favourites, such a soothing song.

Subomie - The darker, more confined sound here is really cool and fresh from the earlier parts of the album. This took a while to grow on me admittedly, but now I love it (ignoring that moth to flame lyric).

Alongoria13 - One of Madonna's haunting ballads, I get chills whenever I hear it.

Pandora - Yeah, it’s okay. I prefer the more ruthless guitar-y tracks on Ray of Light compared to tracks like this.

Supernatural is a great song, but I’m pretty sure i could overlay this over the Scooby-Doo opening credits. Also, Dear Jessie exists on this album so…..
