I just now realized just how hated MJ is on this site. It's absolutely ridiculous. For the older members has it always been like this? I mean thank God the GP respects him but this forum is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to him, especially those in "stand your ground."
I need to start posting in here more. I'm always meaning to, but I never remember because I rarely see this thread bumped in the base. But MJ is one of my all-time faves and by far my favorite male artist. So hello...moonwalkers..

Right? It's funny because there faves wouldn't exist if it weren't for him. Some of the threads that members used to make about, well, I'm sure you can guess, were absolutely sickening. I could never tell whether they were trolling or they were just complete ****ing idiots. Which either way wouldn't be justifiable.

Yes! We need more MJ fans around here. You always tend to make great threads btw!
But I was on stand your ground and I promise I was pretty much the only person there defending him. Literally almost everyone in there seemed to hate him, like completely hate his guts. It's crazy. I'm just going to try to stay out of there. It seems like atrl as a whole doesn't like him but almost everyone in there hates him.
I Google News'd Michael and found a recent 3.5 star review from USA Today about this new book. I looked it up on Amazon and it's received great reviews from critics and fans. I'm going to buy it now and let y'all know what I think. It's about 450 pages and is supposedly VERY well researched and not a tabloid piece at all.

Wouldn't you hate the person who makes your fav's career look like a footnote? Michael's slayage is insane, when you average album sales per album-release, Michael is so far ahead of every single act it is absolutely insane. When you look at awards, he outstrips every act in music. His peak remains the biggest commercial peak in music history, and to top it off, he was the person behind it - writing, producing, choreographing, designing, inventing and changing how the music industry works - all of which makes his impact on popular culture and the artists that debuted after him unmatched.
Now, having been dead for over 6 years, he had Sony Records most lucrative album released last year, is actually able to sell copies of an album and get Top 10s, packs arenas and theaters for tribute shows across the world in markets many Western artists aren't even known in, and nets north of $100M annually. I mean, I'd be bringing up the dirt on him too - every other artist is a flop next to this. The same people generally go at it with Michael. He's an easy target in many respects, but half of those that do are stanning for people who worship him.

I know but on here its still absolutely ridiculous. I love the irony of how at least 75% of the people here seem to hate him yet the constantly argue over who the "female MJ" is and who is his female counterpart.
