I would teach them how to be a great person and how to touch someone's heart with warmth. When you are a good person you will always win and success will be always with you. And maybe i'll raise my child for helping other people. People nowadays are so dark and it needs to be fixed. Wars needs to stop, homophobia needs to stop, hate needs to stop... Hopefully one day it will happen but we need to raise our children good for this to happen.
If I were to have kids, which I probably never will, I'd have them do one thing their whole life (a sport, an instrument, etc). I'd be a little more open to whatever they want, and get them more freedom than I had.
I will make sure they make their potential come true
Sign them up for soccer and violin and not let them spend their entire weekends glued to the TV screen. Travel with them, be more involved in their education (though everything is turning fine with me even though my parents were indifferent to me after middle school, education wise )
Only in certain aspects, for example I never had my mother waiting on me hand and food, and that made me more independent. I learned how to make myself food, do my own laundry, and pack my own lunch from an early age. If you do every little thing for children, they will become dependent and needy and helpless without their mommy.
If I have children i would highly encourage them to get good grades, read a lot, get into music/instruments, and sports, which is what i was never pushed into.
