The Hagrid sisters are both terrible models and wouldn't have made it in this industry without their large Instagram following/wealthy family. Gigi is too thick to be on the runway. She looks massively out of place (see: Versace S/S 16 when she walks between Raquel Zimmermann and Natasha Poly - the casting director was definitely setting her up for failure and showing how terrible her modelling skills are...)
11:20 onwards for the disgrace
Just like no models would have careers if they didn't happen to be tall and thin. What work do they really do? Sit/stand/walk around looking pretty, but somehow because someone gets an easier shot at doing that "work," it's the end of the world? Modelling is probably the dumbest thing in the world for anyone to feel entitled over. This whole "issue" just serves to confirm the stereotype that they're all stupid and vapid and nothing more than pretty faces.
I always found high fashion models to have plain faces..even ugly
Like, I thought being plain looking and skinny is a norm in high fashion
To not have any distinctive features in order for these fashion people and makeup artists to basically do with your face whatever they please
Only underwear and swimwear models could be a bit curvy or pretty
But seeing alot of the VS models I really only see just skinny girls...some of them are also plain looking..like Behati or Candice...not ugly but I don't see anything special about them
Also..wasn't Kate Moss caught on tape snorting cocaine...I remember it being a fuss for a few months but I don't recall it significantly damaged her image or career
Here's a question: do you consider Kate Upton a supermodel?
Her measurements are enormous compared to those who are generally considered such, yet she's had 4 Vogue covers of the main 4, and only 1 of them was American.
i love Kate and i know she's not a true supermodel but they call supermodel everyone these days, like queen of pop
but Kate is not a runway model so this is another story, to be on the cover of Vogue you don't need to be that skinny
Shakespeare once wrote, "Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them",
simply put their are different routes to success the moment people accept this, the better for every one.
People like Kendal won't be successful if they were lazy, they got their opportunity and made good use of it, there are a lot of Rich kids with same opportunities but they refuse to make judicious use of it.
