So after breaking up with my boyfriend more than a year ago, I start to think that I'm ready to date around and look for new boyfriend. I went to my first date last week and I thought the guy was nice and all but he's not my type. I really want to go for second date next time but I also don't want to waste his time and also my time to think that I'll never make him as my boyfriend.

He's been messaging me non-stop ever since our first date. Should I go for second date with him? What makes you go for second date with the guy?

But I think you two have to have interest in one another, be willing to continue whatever you started and want to know where things will go.

I've never dated a stranger, nor I want to do so. The only people I've dated have been from my school or neighborhood. So my "second dates" are like any other date I guess, since I already know the guy I'm going out with.

Personally for me first impressions is everything. If i didnt view you as my "type" for a potential relationship, on the first date, then there's just no way that would change on the second date.

I usually need 3 dates to tell if I like the guy. I find one date to be a bit limiting, depending on what happens.

Btw, why you aren't into him for the first place ? Is is because you are not over your ex, you have high physical standards, or he thinks differently than the type you like or prefer ? Each of these questions answered will lead you into an answer.

The first date is the indicator as to how things will be going forward. If you have chemistry straight away and are both into each other then go for a second date. But given that you're admitting now that you don't see him as boyfriend material then I definitely wouldn't continue with it because you'll just be stringing him along.

Originality, that's in every possible sense, don't take me to shopping centers or something, take me to a unique place, have this unique way of talking, let your personality shine through. (I'm not that selective, but that's what I expect.)
