I'm afraid to inform you that no girl groups today have music as good as the boys apart from HAIM, and their music isn't as good either but it comes close. They just don't promote enough and don't have a mainstream enough sound to break through.
Most of the pop music market is either female or gay. Of course a male band will be more popular. I wasn't being sexist: quite the opposite. ATRL is biased against male artists for some reason. If Katy released Midnight Memories or FOUR, or especially Take Me Home, it'd be heralded as the second ****ing coming.
