I think that actually reduces Scream Queen's chances tbh.

You can't keep everything, and for flops, keeping one reduces chances of keeping another.

SQ is still getting higher ratings than The Grindr, so it wouldn't make since to drop it instead. There's plenty of other fox shows doing worse.

This is just a full season pick up, not a renewal. They plan to stick with a 2 hour comedy block once SQ ends its season. Scream Queens will have nothing to do with The Grinder when its up for renewal. Live numbers a low for both and it's a long way to May right now.
