On October 28, we’re giving fans exactly what they want. Introducing YouTube Red -- a new membership designed to provide you with the ultimate YouTube experience.
YouTube Red lets you enjoy videos across all of YouTube without ads, while also letting you save videos to watch offline on your phone or tablet and play videos in the background, all for $9.99 a month. Your membership extends across devices and anywhere you sign into YouTube, including our recently launched Gaming app and a brand new YouTube Music app we’re announcing today that will be available soon.
Viewers in the U.S. can try YouTube Red for free with a one month trial on October 28 and YouTube Music will be coming soon.
So basically if you do not agree to this, then your videos get blocked. YouTube Red is an idiotic idea. No one really cares about having an ad free experience, people have found ways around that and some dont really give a dam about ad free or not. Being safe on YouTube Red is total bull cheese because the internet will never be safe.
Ummm, what a terrible idea. The whole concept of blocking videos posted by companies that don't agree with it is tragic. They're going to receive so much backlash and negative feedback from people.
Can you link the source in the OP?
I guess the new executives have forgotten that Youtube is a company that was not founded in AMERICA Youtube is the way for millions of people to listen to music WW, it's the actual number 1 streaming service, it's just not given that title, because it's also a video platform.
Wow. But I hear a lot of this infamous YouTube stars bring in a **** load of money yearly as well. I guess YouTube wants a cut of some of those MILLIONS.
You all are overreacting and the OP has an awful interpretation of what was actually said. It's not that difficult:
- You can either pay $10/month to avoid ads and save videos for offline play, or
- You continue doing what you were already doing if you don't care.
