My city is about 50% white and 50% non-white (but the proportion of whites is falling fast and the proportion of non-whites is increasing fast), and when I go to parties or clubs with some of my white friends they complain if there's too many asians or blacks. There's certain clubs I like which they never want to go to since they know there won't be many white people. And sometimes if we turn up at party and it's, say 10% white people there, then they always want to leave and find another party. So annoying. And the worst thing is it is clear as day what's going on, but I'm not sure if they even realise what they're doing.
But the thing is, it's so difficult to get them to realise what's going on. For example there's this one massive club in the city where they play hip hop and it's usually about 10% white people there. Some of my friends never want to go there and whenever we do they stay off the dance floor. I got annoyed one time and asked them why they hate it so much and they all said that they don't like hip hop and don't want to club to A$AP Rocky, etc. all night. And even that is ******** since I lived with them and I often heard them listening to stuff like Eminem, Blue and Justin Timberlake... But once we tried out this new club, and they played only hip hop in that club so I started getting worried thinking they'd want to leave, but they were LOVING it! And guess what, it was about 50% white people there... And we ended up going most weeks for a while after that. But they continued not wanting to go to the other club which was 10% white. It's soon obvious, but you're never going to get a white person to admit to you "Hey I don't want to go there because there's too many black/asian people". They'll feel too bad. And the thing is those guys will be going around saying "I'm not racist I have loads of friends of other races". It's true, they do have black friends and asian friends! But if they're in a setting when they're a minority they panic and want to run away.
What annoys me even more is that about 1 in 5 of the people in the city are muslims, and the right-wing extremists are ALWAYS moaning about how they don't integrate enough, blah blah blah. But they never talk about the white people who don't want to be anywhere where there are too few white people. Everybody has to integrate, not just the minorities (and white people themselves will soon be a minority here).
Sorry for this rant, but this is so annoying and I see it a lot in real life. But the worst thing is you can never get most white people to admit it, they always come up with excuse. Due to the number of non-whites in my city decreasing so fast the past few decades, there's been a snowball effect with white people moving to a whiter parts of the country. So many of them say stuff like "I want to move to a place where there's better schools for my children". It's probably true in a few cases, but many of them are clearly lying, they're moving away because there's too many muslims, blacks, asians, etc, and they want to live in a place which is mainly white people. They don't care if there's one or two black people around occasionally like they see in their favourite TV shows, but if there's "too many" they can't stand it.
With the case in the OP there's the added dimension that it's a party for models, so it's implying that black women aren't as beautiful as blondes. And again, it's this same mentality. A few black women at the party are fine, but "too many" and I don't like it.

It's the same here too and it applies to everything. Using your example, studies have been done on gentrification and neighborhood migration patterns and it's shown once a neighborhood becomes too black or whatever, whites keep migrating out. Gentrification is the opposite. Whites (often gay men and young people) enter looking for cheaper housing, they start changing the neighborhood a bit and other whites finally end up following.
You can see it in the media too. People talk about loving "diversity," but if you look at consumer statistics, it's not the case. Viewers of TV shows with non-white leads turn off mainstream audiences. Basically, it's like what you said. Some minorities are okay/tolerable, but not too many.
