Discussion: How long does it take you to write a quality essay?

I know each essay is different etc etc but on average how long does it take you to write a 1500-2000 words essay? (with like three 20 page readings on feminism)

Depends on the type. If it's just a prompt, a few hours. It's a research paper, a couple of days depending on how lazy I'm being.

I start getting ideas together for it like 2 days before it's due then I end up waiting until the last minute to actually start writing

around 2-3 days to come up with a rough draft
1 day to edit and revise
another day to come up with my final draft

Depends on how motivated I am/distracted I get.

It can take all day, or about an hour and a half.

Like my essay is due in 8 days and it's not really difficult.
I just need to read 50-60 pages worth of feminist readings/theories etc.. and then write an essay on how kid movies enforce anti feminist stereotypes.
I think it will take me like 4 days tops. Like 1 day for reading and then like 3 days to write the essay itself (2 hours each day for three days)

This. I'm pretty good at writing them but lazy as **** when it comes to actually getting it done.

Slay that planning. I would have started on the 7th day because that's how I do.

If it's for an afternoon class, I usually start writing the day it's due. I can write 15 pages in like 4 hours.

I've a 3,000 word essay due tonight. Started at 12am today, went thru to 3am, slept for three hours, and have spent half of today either doing it or procrastinating my ass. Only like 800 words to go and have to proof read it!

Start the day/day before it's due and you'll be fine, in fact I have an essay due 8am tomorrow and I haven't even started

It depends whether or not it is a research essay. If so, then it usually takes a lot longer than a normal essay. I wrote my latest research paper in about 5 hours.

In general I write normal essays in like 30-40 minutes lol.
